Mr. Roger Lawson Reid, 81, of Lenoir passed away Tuesday, September 19, 2023 at Mission Hospital following a brief period of declining health.
Roger was born December 23, 1941 in Caldwell County, NC to the late Alonzo Reid and Ruby Haigler Pearson.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Debra Crisp Reid; step-father, James Fred Pearson; siblings, Della Paige, Louise Reid, Silvia Aldridge, and Richard Reid.
Survivors include his sons, Roger J. Reid of the home, and Michael C. Reid and wife Deborah; grandchildren, Bryan, Brayden, and McKenna Reid; special nieces and nephews, David Bates, Roberta Conner, and Linda Nelson.
A memorial service will be held 11:30AM Saturday, September 30, 2023 at Crossroads Community Church on Cajah Mountain Road in Hudson with Pastor Rick Bowman officiating and Bryan Reid, Brayden Reid, TJ Bates, Carson Bates, Robert Everhart, III, and Rick Reid serving as honorary pallbearers.
The family will receive friends prior to the service on Saturday September 30, 2023 from 11:00am to 11:30AM at Corossraods Community Church.
