James McArthur Jones, age 80, of Connelly Springs passed away Wednesday, September 14, 2022, at UNC HealthCare in Morganton, NC following a period of declining health.
James was born September 1, 1942, in Cherokee County, NC to the late Estella Styles Jones and Dolph Jones.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Juanita Louise Thomas Jones; son, Woody Jones; step son, Gary London; and grandson Ray Ray Jones.
Those left to cherish his memory are his children, Teresa Jones of Hickory, Darren Jones of Parkersburg, WV, and Kenneth Jones and fiancé Sheila White of Connelly Springs; stepchildren, Sandy Oliver and fiancé Richard of Morganton, Jerry London of Hickory, and James London of Morganton; and ten grandchildren.
The family will receive friends at Mackie Funeral Service on Sunday, September 18, 2022 from 11:00AM to 12:00PM.
A graveside service will follow at Cornerstone Independent Baptist Church
