Ethel St. Clair Annas Waters, 89, of Hudson, passed away on Friday, September 15, 2023 at her residence, surrounded by her loving family, following a period of declining health.

Ethel was born on March 28, 1934, in Caldwell County to the late Millard Sylvester St. Clair and Helen Mishak St. Clair. She loved quilting, crocheting, and reading. Most of all she loved being with her family.

In addition to her parents, she was proceeded in death by her husbands, Grady L. Annas and O.J. Waters; son, Delana “Duck” Annas; brothers, Clifton Ross, and Efird St. Clair; three sisters, Beulah Yates and Susie Willis and Mary Rice.

She is survived by her daughter, Donna Shelton (Danny); two sons, Gary Annas (Mary Lowman) and Roger “Rascal” Annas (Angie); grandchildren, Christy Bumgarner, Lindsey Annas (Shannon), and Cody Ann Green (Cody).  She is also survived by several great grandchildren, Kevin Bumgarner, Logan Bumgarner, Dawson Annas, Zoe Annas, Gavin Annas, and Sage Green; one brother, Ladd St. Clair; two sisters, Connie Eidson and Dean Rary; and special niece and caregiver, Michele Lail.

A funeral service will be held on Monday, September 18, 2023, at 5:00 PM at Temple Hill Baptist Church with pastor Darrell Hatchell officiating. Interment will follow at Mount Zion Baptist Church cemetery.

The family will receive friends prior to the service from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM at Temple Hill Baptist Church.
