David Eugene Craig, 62, of Hudson went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, November 1, 2023.
David was born in Caldwell County to Mrs. Betty Ruth and the late Charles Eugene Craig. He was proceeded in death by his father Charles Eugene Craig and brother-in-law, Danny Brown.
Left to cherish David’s memory is his mother Betty Ruth Craig of Hudson. A brother Daniel Adam Craig of Hudson, Sister April Brown (Ben) of Hudson, Neice; Melissa Beauchemin (Daniel) of Lenoir, Nephew; John Daniel Brown Jr. (Katherine) of Hickory, Great Neice’s; Eden, Patience, Valyssa and Audra. Great Nephew, John Daniel Brown III.
David was a member of Sunrise Baptist Church where he served his Lord and Savior in many ways. He was a door greeter, usher, and chairman in the men’s prayer room. What David enjoyed most of all was singing in the choir. He will be missed dearly by family and friends.
Servies will be held at 3:00PM on Sunday, November 5, 2023, at Sunrise Baptist Church in Hudson, NC. A visitation of family and friends will be held from 2:00PM until time of service. Interment will be in the Sunrise Baptist Church Cemetery.

I never knew David but recognize him from Pancho Villa on Sundays after church. I pray peace and comfort for his family.

We are so sorry for your loss. David was always smiling and telling me an mom about his new T shirts. He would help mom into the church. We will miss him and his smiling face. He truly loved the Lord and singing. Elvis has left the building and now singing in the choir in Heaven. Kathy and Maxine. Love you yall.
