William Henry Bracewell, Jr., 67, of Hickory lost his battle with cancer and passed away peacefully Sunday October 30, 2022 under hospice care at his home, surrounded by his close friends.
William is preceded in death by his mother and father, Mary and William Henry Bracewell, Sr. of FL; his life partner of 40 years, James Wayne Marlow of Hickory; and his fur baby, Weezer of the home.
Survivors include his brothers, Buddy Chesire and Joe Bracewell of FL; sister, Mary Ann Langston of White Springs, FL; and his sweet fur baby and companion, Daisy. His sister wanted to share, that William always made her laugh, and she will miss him dearly.
A special thank you, to his best friend, Ron Blevins for the live in care and support he gave William until his own health failed; to Mike Nutt for the live in care and support he has provided for the last two years; to Joey Hawkins for going above and beyond during the final days of his care; to Khristian Hawkins for her love and support; and to Nicki Dickerson for being a faithful prayer warrior.
William was grounded in his faith, and his hobby was to study his Bible as long as his health allowed. He was a spunky and high spirited little man that knew his own mind. He fought a hard fight and will never be forgotten.
A graveside service will be held 2:00PM Friday, November 4, 2022 at Bethel United Methodist Church, 80 28th St. NW Hickory, NC 28601, with Rev. Tony Childers of Glory Land Baptist Church officiating.
An online guestbook and obituary are available at www.mackiefh.com.

May God bless and comfort Williams family and friends. William will be forever missed as he touched my heart always.
