Timothy Calvin Smith, 57, of Newton, passed away on Friday, March 17, 2023 following a period of declining health.

Timothy was born March 5, 1966 in Burke County to Carol Witherspoon Smith and the late Tommy Ray Smith Sr. One could always find Timothy with a smile on his face.

In addition to his mother, he is survived by his brother, Tommy Ray Smith Jr.; sister, Tina Carol Estes; and numerous nieces and nephews.

A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, March 21, 2023 at 1:00 PM in the Chapel of Mackie Funeral Service.

The body will lie-in-state from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at Mackie Funeral Service.

Mackie Funeral Service and Crematory in Granite Falls is assisting the family.
