Mr. Richard Roger Ingle, 85, of Hudson passed away Sunday, November 6, 2022 at Amorem Hospice in Hudson following a period of declining health.
Richard was born July 3, 1937 in Caldwell County to the late Ivey W. Ingle and Ila Smith Ingle. He was a veteran of the US Army.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Jeanette Hilton Ingle; and brothers, Gene Clinton Ingle, Jack Walter Ingle, Edward Charles Ingle, and Floyd Sherman Ingle.
Survivors include his daughter, Stacey Ingle Walker of Hudson; grandchildren, Brandon Charles Nelson and wife Kayla of Hudson, and Ashlynn Jade Nelson of Hudson; great grandchildren, Aubree Nelson and Madelynn Nelson; sisters, Velma Yount and husband Boyd of Hickory and Weyburn “Penny” Fremling of Conover; and brothers, Robert Ingle and wife Margie of Newton, Dale Ingle and wife Jeanette of Newton, Donald Ingle of Granite Falls, and Harley Ingle and wife Phyllis of Granite Falls.
The family will receive friends Saturday, November 12, 2022 from 3:00PM to 4:00PM at Poovey’s Chapel Baptist Church.
A graveside service will follow at 4:00PM in the Poovey’s Chapel Baptist Church Cemetery with Rev. Nicky Waters officiating and Military Honors presented by the NC National Guard and the Caldwell County Veterans Honor Guard.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Amorem Hospice at 902 Kirkwood St. NW Lenoir, NC 28645.

Richard @I was in basic together and was in from 1956 to 58.
Richard was a good neighbor and friend.
