Richard Neal Honkanen, 68, of Hudson went home to be with his Lord and Savior Wednesday, August 24, 2022 following a period of declining health.
Richard was born May 15, 1954 in Boston, Massachusetts to Sonny Dudley and Carol Dudley. He loved the Lord, music, classic cars and motorcycles. Richard loved his family and was always willing to help anyone in need.
He is preceded in death by his mother, Lucille Honkanen, stepfather, George Honkanen, and an infant son, Billy Honkanen.
Those left to cherish his memory are his wife and companion for over 43 years, Mazie Jane Honkanen; children, Tabatha Renee Miller, Josh Honkanen, Eric Honkanen, and Caroline Long; grandchildren, Jonathan Miller, Nathanial Thomas, Christopher Honkanen, Allison Miller, and Jonathan Honkanen; great-grandchildren, Emery Thomas and Maelynn Paige Marie Garland; brother, Paul Dudley; sister, Janet Casasanto; parents, Sonny Dudley and Carol Dudley; and so many others that are considered family.
A Celebration of Life will be held Saturday, August 27, 2022 at 3:30 PM in the Chapel of Mackie Funeral Service with Jonathan Miller officiating.
Military Honors will be presented by the U.S. Navy and the Caldwell County Veterans Honor Guard.
