Patsy Beulah Ruth Owens Potter, 79, of Granite Falls, passed away on Monday, April 17, 2023, at Catawba Memorial Hospital following a period of declining health.

Patsy was born December 26, 1943, in Mountain City, Tennessee to the late Stacey Chapel and Blanch Owens. She was a member of Solid Rock Baptist Church and was a lover of the outdoors; either playing or working. She enjoyed helping her husband with their family businesses, Potter Drywall and Granite Tape Company. Gardening and horseback riding was another one of her enjoyments.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Barton Potter; sons, JC Potter, and Gary Potter, brother, Bobby Owens; and grandchildren, Emily Potter, and Matthew Potter.

She is survived by her sons, Donnie Potter and wife Sarah, and Terry Potter and wife Terri, and Adam Potter; daughters, Kathy Potter, and Judy Norris; and grandchildren, Derek Potter and wife Sarah, Dustin Potter and wife Kera, Devin Potter, Nathan Potter, Jacob Potter, Blake Norris and wife Ashton, Danielle Norris, Bethany Watson, and Aaron Church. Also surviving are great-grandchildren, Kahlyn Potter, Elijah Potter, Barrett Potter, Amara Potter, Aria Potter, Emma Watson, Maci Norris, and Lexi Norris.

A funeral service will be held on Saturday, April 22, 2023, at 2:00 PM at Solid Rock Baptist Church with Pastor Jerry Stines officiating. Interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Park in Mountain City, TN.

The family will receive friends on Saturday prior to the service from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at Solid Rock Baptist Church.
