Nancy Valentine Taylor Bustard, 83, of Hickory departed this life to her heavenly home on Friday May 26, 2023 at Carolina Rehab of Burke following a period of declining health.
Mrs. Bustard was born on September 18, 1939, in Lapeer County, MI to the late Charles and Helen Valentine. She was employed during life as a public schools music teacher and was a long-time member of First United Methodist Church in Hickory.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by two brothers, David Valentine and Jimmy Valentine.
Survivors include her husband, David Bustard; her sons, Jeffrey and Ian Taylor; daughter-in-law, Alejandra Taylor; grandchildren, Zoe, Sean, Isaac, Eli, Caroline, Alexander, and Zachary Taylor; and one sister, JoNell Ferels.
Funeral Services will be held at 3:00 P.M. on Friday, June 2, 2023 at the First United Methodist Church in Hickory, with Rev. Paul Christy officiating.
The family will receive friends on Friday from 2:00until 3:00 p.M., one hour prior to the service at First United Methodist Church in Hickory.
