Michael Robert Hollander, 59 of Granite Falls passed away June 15, 2024 at his home following a period of declining health.
Michael was born January 5, 1965 in Cook County, Illinois to the late John and Wilma Hollander. Michael worked for Hibriten Supply for over 30 years.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother John Paul Hollander.
Those left to cherish his memory include his wife of 31 years, Rita Hollander of the home; children, Rebecca Collins and husband Frank of Denver, Nathan Hicks of Gastonia, and Elisha Hicks of Denver; grandchildren, Breeann Franklin, Chloe Silva, Jade Silva, and Zander Hicks; siblings, Jason Hollander and wife Kelly of Granite Falls, Carolyn Polk and Husband Dwight of Lenoir, Sandra Oakes of Granite Falls, and Donna Anderson of Hudson. Also surviving are numerous nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held Friday, June 21, 2024 at 4:00PM in the Chapel of Mackie Funeral Service with the Rev. Ira Edwards officiating.
