Max Weldon Minton

Mr. Max Weldon Minton, 79, of Hudson passed away Saturday, August 13, 2022 at the Caldwell Hospice Forlines Patient Care Unit following a brief illness.
Max was born January 2, 1943 in Caldwell County to the late Stella Morrow Minton and Woodrow Weldon Minton. He was a member of Solid Rock Baptist Church and worked in the furniture industry.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, Howard Eugene Minton; granddaughter, Missy Dawn Howell; sister, Ellen Crump; and brother, Woodrow Junior Minton.
Those left to cherish his memory include his wife, Mary Louise Minton of the home; children, Ricky Dean Minton of Granite Falls, Michael Wayne Minton of Granite  Falls, Randy Eugene Minton of Hickory, and Brenda Minton Howell of Lenoir; grandchildren, Megan Nicole Minton, Jessica Marie Minton, Pageland Marie Minton, Heather Marie Minton, Justina Love, Max Ronald Minton, Tanner Chase Abernathy, and Timothy Wayne Howell; ten great grandchildren; and sisters, Sue Hall, Mamie Cornett, Precious Wilcox, and Betty Bowman. Also surviving are numerous nieces and nephews.
A funeral service will be held 3:00PM Tuesday, August 16, 2022 in the Chapel of Mackie Funeral Service with the Rev. Jerry Stines officiating.
Interment will follow at Winkler’s Grove Baptist Church Cemetery.
The family will receive friends prior to the service, on Tuesday from 2:00PM to 3:00PM at Mackie Funeral Service.
