Lois Hayes Kirby, 75, of Hudson, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Saturday February 22, 2025, at Caldwell UNC Healthcare in Lenoir following a period of declining health.

Lois was born on January 2, 1950, in Caldwell County to the late Frank Hayes and Verna White Hayes. She was a seamstress for many years with Industrial Seaming and was a member of New Vision Baptist Fellowship in Granite Falls.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her brother, Larry Hayes; a sister, Betty Crouch; and a brother-in-law, Ray “Buck” Crouch.

Survivors include her loving husband of 57 years, Marshall Kirby of Hudson; her son, Michael Kirby of Hudson; her daughter, Donna Hicks and husband Marty of Hudson; two grandchildren, Adrian Isley and husband Jemal of Hudson and Brandon Vance of S.C.; two great-grandchildren, Nevaeh Burgess and Malkia Isley; her brothers, Rev. Clyde Bumgarner and wife Gail of Granite Falls, Ronald Hayes of Granite Falls, and Floyd Hayes and wife Libby of Bethlehem; also surviving are numerous nieces and nephews.

Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Wednesday February 26, 2025, at New Vision Baptist Fellowship, with Rev. Clyde Bumgarner and Rev. Lee Church officiating. Interment will follow at Temple-Hill Baptist Church Cemetery.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday from 1:00-2:00 P.M. at New Vision Baptist Fellowship in Granite Falls.
