Mr. Larry Smith Terrell, 78, of Granite Falls passed away Wednesday June 14, 2023 at Amorem Hospice in Valdese following a period of declining health.
Larry was born May 25, 1945 in Caldwell County to the late James Orville Terrell, Sr. and Ollie Lucille Moose Terrell. He was a member at Concord Baptist Church and worked as a Packaging Sales Representative for Atlantic Corporation.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, James Orville Terrell, Jr., and Fred Moose Terrell; and sister-in-law Julia Terrell.
Those left to cherish his memory include his wife, Brenda Laxton Terrell of the home; children, Joy Parker and husband Noah of Lincolnton and Alison Reed and husband James of Granite Falls; grandchildren, Lauren Austin and husband Alex, Brooke Rich and husband Aaron, Gavin Reed and wife Monica, and Maggie Hamby; great grandchildren, Ashley Rich, Aiden Rich, and Olivia Austin; nieces, Angela Powell, Jessica Raby and Stephanie Hall; and nephews, Doug Terrell and Stephen Terrell.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to Carolina Oncology Specialist, Viewmont Urology, and Amorem Hospice of Valdese for the care and support they provided.
The family will receive friends Monday, June 19, 2023 from 4:00PM to 6:00PM at the home of Brenda Terrell.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Amorem Hospice at 1721 Enon Rd. Valdese, NC 28690 or to Concord Baptist Church Building Fund at PO Box 127 Granite Falls, NC 28630.
