In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her sister, Norma Deal; and brother, Edward Long.
She is survived by her husband, Layne Goodrum; children, Dena Strickler and husband Raymond, Leslie Burns and husband Scott, Jessie Cole, and Jordan Goodrum; grandchildren, Brianna Barnett, Kelsey Conner, Abigail Burns, Ethan Clanton, McKenzie Smith, Andrew Burns, Elizabeth Burns, Blaze Strickler, Cam Cole, Jackson Cole, Cooper Cole, and Max Goodrum; and great grandchildren, Oliver Essary, Aubrey Essary, Kaia Strickler, and Ayden Burns. Also surviving are sisters, Lynn Deal, and Gail Hackney; nieces and nephews, Mandy, Beth, Matt, Chris, Josh, Natalie, and Nicole; family friends, Ron, Cathy, Norma; her cat, Patches; and extended family.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, November 11, 2023 at 2:00 PM at Mackie Funeral Service with Rev. Clyde Bumgardner officiating.
The family will receive friends on Saturday prior to the service from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at Mackie Funeral Service.
Memorials may be made to the ASPCA or to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
