Judith Ann “Susee” Black LeFever, 70, of Lenoir passed away on Saturday, July 15, 2023 at Amorem Hospice in Hudson, following a period of declining health.
Susee was born January 5, 1953, in Ohio to the late Robert Black and Julia McGarr Black. She was a member of The Real Church for Real People and loved her church and her church family. Susee loved her family and spending time with her grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and her beloved fur baby, Chloe. She also enjoyed sewing, cross stitching, and gardening.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Eddie R. LeFever; son, Brian Gray; brothers, Robert Black Jr., Clyde Dean Estes, and Dennis McGarr; stepson, Mitchell LeFever; and brothers-in-law, Louis Kincaid, and Ora Daniel Newman.
She is survived by her children, Jack William Gray Jr. and wife Melanie, and Monique LeFever Nelson and husband Randy; stepson, Michael LeFever and wife Debbie; twelve grandchildren; eleven great-grandchildren; sisters, Deborah Black, Karen Kincaid, and Robin Newman; and numerous nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends on Thursday, 20, 2023 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Mackie Funeral Service in Granite Falls.

Susee was a sweet kind loving friend who made you feel like family. She came to be known to my boys as Nana Susee. We love you Susee will miss you here on earth but know you are rejoicing on the streets of gold with our Lord and savoir. We love you all and pray that God keeps you all

I met Judith as a student working at Frye and later at Caldwell. She was a fantastic radiologic technologist and so proud of her profession.
Judith was a strong woman and a very determined person who always worked hard to provide and care for her family.
So sorry to hear about your sister Susan, I know how close you and Karen were to her and Deborah also,. Robin, I think of you often very fond memories. I’ve noticed in my older years that memories mean so much. Keep in touch, Robin. I love you girl.
