Mrs. Joyce Marshall Turner, 85, of Hickory passed away Wednesday, March 15, 2023 surrounded by her loved ones.
Joyce was born July 27, 1937 in Caldwell County, NC to the late Cecil Bradshaw Marshall and Elizabeth Benfield Marshall. She was a member at Temple Hill Baptist Church. Joyce will be remembered as a loving mother and friend to many.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Bruce Turner; sister, Wanda; and brothers, Randy, Tinker, Larry, Buster, and Buck.
Survivors include her children, Sheri Townsend and husband Johnny of Hickory, Jeanine Carpenter of Hickory, Chuck Turner of Lexington, SC, and Barry Turner and wife Cheryl of Hermosa Beach, CA; ten grandchildren, including a special granddaughter and caretaker Brandi Townsend; seventeen great grandchildren; brother, Bobby Marshall and wife Jackie of Bethlehem; and special friend, Polly Neese.
The family will receive friends on Sunday March 19, 2023 from 2:00PM to 3:30PM at Temple Hill Baptist Church.
A funeral service will be held 3:30 PM on Sunday at Temple Hill Baptist Church with the Rev. Darrell Hatchell officiating.
Interment will follow in the Temple Hill Baptist Church Cemetery.
