John Frank Crawford Jr., 69, of Burke County, North Carolina, passed away peacefully, surrounded by his loving family. Born on July 14, 1955, in Catawba County, John was the son of the late John Frank Crawford Sr. and Margaret Ferguson Crawford.

John was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather who cherished every moment spent with his family. He was a man of integrity, kindness, and unwavering love, leaving an indelible mark on all who knew him.

A proud veteran, John served as a truck driver in the U.S. Army, where he exemplified dedication and hard work. Following his military service, he built a successful career as an electrician, a trade he mastered with skill and precision, earning the respect of colleagues and clients alike.

John is survived by his beloved wife of 50 years, Connie Crawford, who was his steadfast partner in life and love. Together, they built a close-knit family that was his greatest joy and source of pride.

He is lovingly remembered by his children, Terry Crawford (Chandra) and Shanon Stanbury (Jiles); his cherished grandchildren, Avery Gentry, Ethan Gentry, Emory Crawford, Abagail Stanbury, Alison Gentry, and Lanna Clifton (Zack); and his adored great-grandchildren, McKenna Gentry, Karsyn Clifton, and Parker Wallace Clifton.

He is also survived by his brother, Steve Crawford (Rosa), and his sister-in-law, June Clay (Robert), along with numerous nieces and nephews who held a special place in his heart.

John’s life was a testament to the power of love, family, and faith. His legacy will live on in the hearts of those who knew him.

Services will be held at a later date in a private ceremony for the family.

Though he is no longer with us, the love and memories John leaves behind will forever remain in the hearts of his family and friends.
