Mrs. JoAnn Inman Freeman, 84, of Hudson passed away Sunday, December 15, 2024 at Hickory Falls Nursing Home following a period of declining health.
JoAnn was born April 4, 1940 in Haywood County, NC to the late Samuel Stringfield Inman and Molita Hampton Inman.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her sons, Roy Allen Mathis, and Gary Michael Mathis; granddaughter, Tracey Mathis; five brothers; and two sisters.
Those left to cherish her memory include her husband, David Freeman; sons, Daniel Dale Mathis of Granite Falls and Tony Wayne Mathis and wife Shannon Mathis of Hudson; sister, Key Settles of Culpepper, VA; daughter-in-law Brenda Mathis; grandchildren, Kimberly Mathis, Raymond Mathis, Aiden Mathis, Siera Watkins, Miracle Watkins, and Ella Watkins.
The family will receive friends Friday, December 20, 2024 from 2:00PM to 3:00PM at Mackie Funeral Service.
A memorial service will immediately follow at 3:00PM in the Chapel of Mackie Funeral Service with the Rev. Billy Miller officiating.
Rest in Peace Sis. You will be missed, but you will be with your 2 sons, Mama and our Dad, plus all our brothers and sisters. It will probably be a family reunion, with me , Tony and Dale still on earth. But all of you are in Paradise with God and all those beautiful Angels. Fly high Sis. I’ll see you one day soon.
