Howard Ray Greer, 81, of Connelly Springs, departed this life to his heavenly home on Wednesday January 8, 2025, at Amorem Hospice in Hudson following a period of declining health.

Born on February 24, 1943, in Caldwell County, he was born to the late Howard Washington Greer and Ruby Louise Annas Greer. He was a supervisor in the textile industry.

Survivors include his wife, Wilma Vernel Page Greer of the home; three children, Wanda Hunter of Conover, Howard James Greer of Conover, and Dale Ray Greer of Mountain View; his grandchildren, Jonathan Hunter, Adam Hunter, Anna Ammons, Dainy Greer, Casey Greer, Kayla Greer, and Kyler Greer; three great-grandchildren, Landon Greer, Clay Ammons, and Haley Hunter.

Funeral Services will be held at 12:00 P.M. on Monday January 13, 2025, in the Chapel of Mackie Funeral Service in Granite Falls, with Rev. Mike Harris  officiating. Entombment will follow at Woodlawn Memorial Gardens in Lenoir.

The family will receive friends Monday from 11:00 A.M. until 12:00 P.M. at Mackie Funeral Service in Granite Falls.
