Howard Ray Bowman, 68, of Conover passed away Saturday, January 25, 2025 at Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center following a period of declining health.

Howard was born March 14, 1956 in Catawba County to the late Harold Bowman and Ethel Christine Herman Bowman.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three brothers and two sisters.

Those left to cherish his memory include his children, Dawn Slade and husband Alan of Inwood, WV, Harold Bowman and wife Laura Fox of Conover, Amanda Brault and husband Jason of Old Fort; eleven grandchildren; four great grandchildren; and siblings, Haroleen Payne and husband John of Denver, Frances Williams of Taylorsville, Karen J. Ward of Greeneville, TN, and Lucy Setzer of Claremont. Also surviving are numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
