Mr. Gordon “Jim” James Prestwood, 75, of Statesville passed away Tuesday, July 9, 2024 at Carolina Caring Hospice, following a period of declining health.
Jim was born October 25, 1948 in Caldwell County to the late George James Prestwood and Mable Ruth Coffey Prestwood.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Georgia Harris.
Those left to cherish his memory include his sons, Jason Prestwood and wife Lisa of Lenoir, and Robert Prestwood and wife Jeri of Grantie Falls; grandchildren, Tyler Prestwood of Colorado Springs, CO, Branden Prestwood of Lenoir, Cheslie Prestwood of Granite Falls, Seth Prestwood of Granite Falls, and Brittney Prestwood of Lenoir; great grandson, Jackson Hamby; sisters, Mary Lebeouf of Houma, LA, and Shirley Hitt and husband Jim of Burlington, NC; brothers, David Prestwood of Lenoir, NC, and Ralph Prestwood and wife Linda of Aiken, SC.
A celebration of life will be held 12:00PM to 3:00PM Friday, July 12, 2024 in the Center Grove Fellowship Hall.
