George Scott Underwood, 48 of Granite Falls passed away Friday, June 16, 2023 following a period of declining health.

George was born on April 5, 1975 in Logan County, WV to the late George Underwood and Sharon Dean Underwood. He was a proud Army Veteran and served his country as a gun smith during his time in the military.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by a brother, Jeremy James Daniel Underwood; grandparents, Rufus Chester Dean and Opal Newsome Dean; and an aunt, Mildred Newsome.

Those left to cherish his memory are his sister, Angela Jawn Underwood-Cline and husband Gary; best friend, Eric Howell; nephews, Jeremy Colt Scott Cline and wife Brittinie, Jacob Carson Cline, and Johnathon Rufus Roosevelt Cline; great-nephews, Jackson Cline, Devin Cline, and Andrew Cline; cousins, Vicky Newsome, Cheryl Newsome, and Tina Hatfield; former spouse, Anna Lettieri; and numerous other family and friends.

A memorial service will be held at a later date by the family.
