Edna Lorene Fowler Teague, 89 of Connelly Springs passed away Tuesday, December 13, 2022, following a period of declining health.

Edna was born September 7, 1933, in Catawba County to the late Albert Thomas Franklin Fowler and Flonnie Shipman Fowler. She was a strong, kind-hearted mother of ten children who loved her family fiercely. Edna was a force to be reckoned with, but she carried herself gracefully. Edna was known to her family and friends as a free-spirited person and a child at heart. She loved Christmas, going to the beach and the mountains, and music. She enjoyed playing the piano and guitar and bringing joy to those around her. Edna was a steadfast and loyal woman who always took care of her children and she instilled all of her best qualities in them. She will be missed dearly.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Enos Eugene Teague; children, Linda Kay Teague Spencer, Donna Jean Teague Lail, Barbara Ann Teague Cook, Terry Lee Teague, and Dennis James Teague; brothers, Larry Fowler, Stanley Fowler, and Wallace Fowler; and sisters, Yvonne Fowler Putnam and Doris Freeman.

Those left to cherish her memories are her children, Michael Eugene Teague and wife Barbara, Janice Yvonne Teague Lail and husband Bobby, Danny Ray Teague, Dianne F. Teague Crump and husband Mike, and Loretta Teague Cornette and husband Johnnie; sister, Martha Fowler Compton; and numerous grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends Sunday, December 18, 2022, from 3:00 PM to 4:00 PM at Mackie Funeral Service.

In lieu of flowers, love offerings may be made in honor of Edna to Rev. Truette Crump, Sr. at 2530 Knox Landing Road, Connelly Springs, NC 28612.
