Dwight Dean Robinson, affectionately known as “Huck”, entered into the arms of our Lord and Savior on Monday, January 27, 2025 at Hickory Falls Nursing Facility in Granite Falls, NC.

Huck was born October 14, 1957 to the late John Lawrence Robinson and Mildred Edith Bentley Robinson.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Earl Robinson and Chris Robinson.

He is survived by three brothers, Roger Bentley (Carolyn), Richard “Donald” Barlowe (Donna Burch), and Dennis Robinson; and three sisters, Annalea Langley, Lorrie Knight-Evans (Ray), and Michelle Curry (Mike). He is also survived by several nieces and nephews with whom he had a special bond, especially April “Missy” Starnes.

Huck was the jokester of the family, always leaving you with a laugh. When he raised that eyebrow, you knew he was getting ready to say something funny. As a young man, he worked with his daddy and brothers cutting pulp wood at the sawmill. He also worked in the furniture industry at Fair Field Chair, Thomasville, and Bernhardt. Huck spent many weekends at Tri County Country Music Bar and Grill. He loved women and they loved him.

As Huck’s health began to decline, he became a resident at Camelot Manor, now Hickory Falls. He was well liked by staff and residents alike, and they were like family to him. He loved the attention from “his ladies” who made him feel special.

The family would like to thank the staff at Hickory Falls for their love and care for Huck over the many years he resided there. Although his care under Amorem Hospice was brief, their comfort and compassion for Huck was greatly appreciated.

The family will receive friends Sunday, February 2, 2025 from 2:00PM to 3:00PM at Mackie Funeral Service in Granite Falls.

A memorial service will immediately follow at 3:00PM in the Chapel of Mackie Funeral Service with the Rev. Gary Reeves officiating.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Amorem Hospice at 902 Kirkwood St NW, Lenoir, NC 28645.

Mathew 25:40 And the King will answer them, “Truly I say to you, as you did it to one of the least of these my brothers, you did it to me.”
