Mr. Donnie Lee Mason, 52, of Taylorsville passed away Monday, September 11, 2023 at Grand Strand Medical Center in Myrtle Beach, SC.
Donnie was born October 27, 1970 in Lincoln County, a son to late Mrs. Billie Harmon.
In addition to his mother, he was preceded in death by his grandmother, Ruth Harmon.
Survivors include his sister, Carla Ruth Mason of Atlanta, GA; aunts, Wanda Saunders and husband Bob of Lenoir, Barbara Harmon of Granite Falls, and Shirley Townsend and husband Ronald of Connelly Springs; cousins, Jack Lowman and wife Lesa, Michael Beshears, Kim Chester and husband Marc, Peyton Chester, Chad Fowler and wife Chrissy, and Rob Lowman, and great-aunt, Joan Coffey of Rhodhiss. Also surviving are a host of other cousins and extended family members.
A funeral service will be held 1:00PM Saturday, September 23, 2023 at First Baptist Church Granite Falls with the Rev. Jay Worsley officiating.
The family will receive friends prior to the service from 12:00PM to 1:00PM at First Baptist Church Granite Falls.
Interment will follow at a later date in Arlington National Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Wounded Warrior Project.

He was such a sweet person with such an amazing smile and funny personality. He will be greatly missed by all of his family and friends. All will be in my thoughts and prayers. RIP my dear friend.
