Donna May Mactavish Warila, 82, of Lenoir passed away August 27, 2023 at her home following a period of declining health.

Donna was born May 29. 1941 in Morgantown, WV to the late Harry David Mactavish and Alice Marie Mactavish.

In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her husband, Robert Warila, Jr.; brothers, Harry D. Mactavish, Joseph Albert Mactavish, William Alexander Mactavish, and Charles Edward Crayton; sister, Joyce Lee Crayton Swiger, children, Harold “David” Dwane Mayfield, and Charles Lee Mayfield; grandchildren, H. David Dwane “DJ” Mayfield, and Donna Rosemary Mayfield.

Survivors include her daughter, Amanda M. Mayfield and fiancé Hunter of Lenoir; granddaughter, Sara Elizabeth Bowser of Fitchburg Mass.; grandson, Lee Mayfield and wife Jessica of Lenoir; great grandchildren, Fiona Mayfield-Greene, Lilly Bowser, David Lee Mayfield, and Emma Marie Mayfield; special cousin John Edward Weaver and wife Sue; and best friend Norma Schofield and family.

A memorial service was held 5:30 PM Saturday October 7, 2023 at Kingdom Hall in Valdese.
