Debra Lynn Ledford Moody, 69, of Granite Falls, passed away Wednesday, October 18, 2023, at Carolina Caring Hospice.
Debra was born November 20, 1953, in Catawba County to the late Harold Dean and Myrtle Inez Slay Lowman. She was a strong advocate for people with developmental disabilities and their families.
In addition to her parents, she was proceeded in death by a brother, Harold Dean Ledford Jr.
Left to cherish her memory are a son, George Finley Moody ll (Su’Vanna) of Taylorsville. A daughter, Dana Hope Moody of Granite Falls; Grandson, River Finn Moody, brother; James Alan Ledford(Kim) of Granite Falls, sisters; Gay Ledford Dorsey(Bill) of Vale, Shirley Inez Ledford of Granite Falls, Sarah Ledford Potter(Donnie) of Granite Falls.
The family will receive family and friends on Sunday, October 22, 2023, from 3:00 until 4:00pm prior to the memorial service.
A memorial service will be held Sunday, October 22, 2023, at 4:00 PM at Philadelphia Lutheran Church in Granite Falls. The Lutheran Vicar will officiate.
