Sarah Colleen Hoyle Curtis, 88, of Granite Falls, passed away on Sunday, January 21, 2024, at her home, following a period of declining health.

Colleen was born June 13, 1935, in Catawba County to the late Blaine Hoyle and Ethel Thornburg Hoyle. She was a faithful member of Emmanuel Baptist Church. Colleen loved spending time with her family, being in her flower garden, and enjoyed art.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband Jones Jerden Curtis; sister, Billie Hoyle Drum; and brothers, Bud Hoyle, Earl Hoyle, and Johnny Hoyle.

She is survived by her children, Jones Jeffery Curtis and wife Debbie, Robin Curtis Greene and husband Dan, Charles Curtis and wife Kathy, and Scott Curtis and wife Denise. Also surviving are thirteen grandchildren; thirty-three great-grandchildren; and three great-great grandchildren.

A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, January 23, 2024, at 3:00 PM at Emmanuel Baptist Church with Pastor Floyd Perry and Pastor Dan Greene officiating. Interment will follow at Sunset Hills Cemetery.

The family will receive friends prior to the service on Tuesday from 2:00 – 3:00 PM at the church.
