Charles Ray Greene, 76, of Taylorsville, passed away peacefully at his home surrounded by his family, on Saturday November 16, 2024.

He was born on June 13, 1948 in Mitchell County to the late Connie and Alice Pittman Greene. Charles truly lived life to the fullest through simple pleasures, spending time with his family and sharing his love for Jesus with others. Charles was employed for many years as a mechanic with Waldensian Bakeries in Valdese.

Charles is survived by his daughter, Sherry Spencer and husband Wayne of Taylorsville; his son, Jerry Greene of Connelly Springs; his grandchildren, Charlie Spencer of Taylorsville, Aaron Cook of Connelly Springs, Amanda Russell and husband Kevin of Boomer; also surviving are eight great-grandchildren. The family would also like to express their gratitude to the staff of Carolina Caring Hospice for their compassion to Charles and the family during this difficult time.

Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Wednesday November 20, 2024 in the Chapel of Mackie Funeral Service in Granite Falls, with Rev. Larry Cain officiating. A private interment will follow at Burke Memorial Park.

The family will receive friends Wednesday November 20, 2024 from 1:00 P.M. until the time of service.
