Bruce Edward Helton, 61 of Connelly Springs passed away Sunday, December 18, 2022 following a period of declining health.

Bruce was born on July 3, 1961 in Caldwell County to the late Baine Elm Hilton and Margaret Reid Hilton.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his brothers, Steve Hilton, Mike Hilton, Jeff Sumpter, Scott Sumpter, and Greg Sumpter.

Those left to cherish his memories are his wife, Barbara Helton; children, MaKisha Helton, Kimberly Isaacs (Jason), and Christopher Helton; grandchildren, Trevor Gilbert, Tyler Gilbert, Tanner Gilbert, Trenton Gilbert, Maddox Isaacs, Courtney Pennell, Cameron Pennell, Taylor Pennell, Sebastian Martin, Syrenity Helton, Brennan Miller, and Bryton Miller; brothers, Tim Sumpter and Latt Hilton; sisters, Dale Smith and Phyllis Hare; and numerous other family and friends.

The family will receive friends Wednesday, December 21, 2022 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at Mackie Funeral Service.

A Funeral Service will be held Wednesday, December 21, 2022 at 3:00 PM in the Chapel of Mackie Funeral Service with Pastor Rick Miller officiating.

Interment will follow at Sunset Hills Cemetery in Granite Falls with Trevor Gilbert, Tanner Gilbert, Trenton Gilbert, Billy Hare, Jason Reynolds, and Bo Skipper serving as pallbearers.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Mackie Funeral Service to assist the family with expenses at 35 Duke Street, Granite Falls, Nc 28630.
