Mrs. Betty “Inez” Dameron Hildebran, 102, of Hickory, passed away Wednesday, September 18, 2024 at Trinity Ridge following a period of declining health.
Inez was born October 6, 1921 in Burke County to the late James Louis Dameron and Bertha Deal Dameron. She was a member of Shoup’s Grove Baptist Church.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Clyde Hildebran; daughters, Faye Starr and Jane Paige and husband Benny; granddaughter, Penny Lail; son-in-law, Gary Starr; three brothers; and four sisters.
Survivors include her grandchildren, Robin Annas and husband Phillip of Granite Falls, Bart Starr of Hickory; and Jimmy Paige and wife Kaela of Hickory; son-in-law, Gary Starr; great grandchildren, Stacy Marler and husband Jacob, Jacob Starr and wife Morgan, Kayla Wright and husband John, Josh Lail, and Whitney Bradshaw and husband Cody; great great grandchildren, Kameron Collins, Karter Wright, Jade Wright, Lennon Marler, Ali Bradshaw, Memphis Bradshaw, Aspen Starr, Landon Starr, and Baby Marler, due in October. Also surviving are numerous other extended family members.
A celebration of life will be held 3:00PM Sunday, September 29, 2024 at Shoup’s Grove Baptist Church with the Rev. J.C. Bradley officiating.
The family will receive friends prior to the service from 2:00PM to 3:00PM at Shoup’s Grove Baptist Church.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Shoup’s Grove Baptist Church at PO Box 240 Icard, NC 28666.
Our condolences are with the family. I had only had the opportunity to visit with Inez a handful of times since being a part of the Clontz family in the last 32 years. She was always such a joy to be around. We always laughed a lot with all her stories she would share with us. She will be missed.
