Mrs. Betsy Ross Adkins, 72, of Rhodhiss gained her angel wings Saturday June 24, 2023 following a battle with ALS.
Betsy was born July 4, 1950 in Caldwell County to the late Thomas Herbert Ross and Frances Mills Ross. She was a 1969 graduate of Granite Falls High School and a member of First United Methodist Church in Granite Falls. She worked as a Sales Associate for Walmart. She will be remembered by her family for her positive attitude and tenacious spirit while adapting to her illness. She never complained, and always greeted you with a smile.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Alan E. Adkins.
Those left to cherish her memory include her daughter, Angela “Katie” Ross of Rhodhiss; brother, Cary M. Ross and wife Barbara Eggers Ross of Granite Falls, and numerous fur babies.
A memorial service will be held 3:00PM Saturday, July 1, 2023 in the Chapel of Mackie Funeral Service with Chaplain Jamie Hazel officiating.
Inurnment will follow at Sunset Hills Cemetery in Granite Falls.
The family will receive friends prior to the service, on Saturday from 2:00PM to 3:00PM at Mackie Funeral Service and Cremations.
