Barbara Ann Stewart Teague, 71, of Hickory passed away peacefully in her home surrounded by family and friends on October 2, 2024. Born April 30, 1953, she was the daughter of the late Robert & Joanne Stewart.
Barbara is now rejoicing in her heavenly home along with all her beloved family who went before her. As a mother and homemaker Barbara also loved her early years job at Steve White Motors and working with the public. She loved everyone she met and was always a friendly face to anyone who needed it. Her memory will be cherished for many years, by all who met her.
Barbara is preceded in death by her mother and father; son Michael Eugene Teague; and grandson Michael Wayne Lee.
Those left to cherish her memory are her beloved husband, best friend, and confidant of 56 years, Michael Teague; daughter Deborah Lee (Matt); two sons, Larry Teague (Daphne) and Robert Teague (Melissa); two sisters, Vickie Arrowood, and Carol Painton; and half-brother, Michael Hare. She leaves behind the pride of her life, 10 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren.
The family will receive friends Saturday, October 5, 2024, from 2:30PM to 3:30PM at Mackie Funeral Service.
A memorial service will immediately follow at 3:30PM in The Chapel of Mackie Funeral Service with the Rev. Mike Crump officiating.
Barbara was such a sweet lady. She loved her kid’s as well as her grand children and her husband with all of her heart. She had a special place in my heart as well as the rest of her family does. She will be missed and never forgotten. My love and prayers go out to all of the family.
