Mr. Joseph Sanford White, 72, of Granite Falls passed away Tuesday, March 28, 2023 at Carolina Caring Hospice following a period of declining health.
Mr. White was born March 16, 1951 in Wellington, KS to the late Ira Sanford White and Angelica “Angie” White. He was a member of Union Grove Baptist Church and worked as a truck driver until his retirement.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his sister, Sylvia Jean Boss and husband Randy Boss, formerly of Bennington, KS.
Survivors include his wife, Joyce Elaine Carlley White of the home; daughter, Jamie Jo Lockett and Eric Lockett of Bessemer City, NC; grandchildren, Tanner Joseph Bearden of Bessemer City, NC and Braxton Alan Bearden of Bessemer City, NC; daughter Angela Beth Ingle and Rev. Wesley Ingle of Lincolnton, NC; grandchildren, Joseph Caleb Ingle of Lincolnton, NC, and EliJah Luke Ingle of Lincolnton, NC; and brother, Charles William White and La Rue White of Kansas City, KS.
A funeral service will be held 2:00 PM Friday March 31, 2023 at Union Grove Baptist Church in Lenoir, NC with the Rev. Sam Craven officiating.
The family will receive friends prior to the service on Friday from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at Union Grove Baptist Church in Lenoir, NC.
