Jada Rene’ Hicks Varnadoe of Sugar Grove, NC was released from her pain on August 8, 2022. She was 36 years old.
Jada enjoyed nature, hiking, and strolling along Watauga River Rd. Her laughter came easily. Her tears did the same. She had a beautiful and giving Spirit and rarely missed an opportunity to help others. Jada was preceded in death by her paternal grandfather, Clint Hicks, her maternal grandparents, Max Cook and Lillian Hensley, and an uncle, Gary Hicks. Jada is survived by her husband of 8 years, Jeffrey “Allen” Varnadoe, Jr., her mother, Tammy Cook-Sanabria, her father, Keith Hicks, a 6-year-old son, a 2-year-old daughter, and her beloved grandmother, Martha Ward Hicks.
A memorial service will be held at 2pm on Saturday, August 13, 2022 at Henry River Baptist Church located at 4095 Henry River Rd, Hickory, NC 28602 with Pastor Richard Hudson presiding.
The family will be available for receiving 30 minutes prior to the service.
A future service is being planned and will be held in Boone at a yet undetermined date.

Sweet Jada! I can see your silly smile and pretty red hair! There are so many memories watching you grow up and share a friendship with Erika. The fun times had when you were over and the couple of times you scared the daylights out of me! RIP, sweet angel.
